In previous articles we showed a general overview of dry sanding dust collecting systems. Today we'll focus on the flexibility and convenience of movable models of dust collectors, and in particular the stand-alone solutions offered by WORKY.
DMOB2
DMOB2 is the simplest dust collector available: with its functional and compact design, it's easy to carry around and to move in a workshop, all the while with high performance levels. This device is perfect for the collection of small amounts of dust produced by one or two dry sanding machines, in workshops where this kind of activity is not very frequent.
This movable unit is equipped with two 1000 W-motors, a single power regulation system, two Schuko 230 V-sockets, two compressed air connections, and a cellulose bag filter. DMOB2 can work in manual mode or automatic mode from the orbital sanding machine, be it electric or pneumatic. In all these cases, the unit must be provided with a specific suction oversleeve that is among accessories created by WORKY for all its dust collector models.
DMOB1EX
DMOB1EX comes into play whenever it's necessary to collect the dust of potentially explosive sanding operations, produced in environments regulated by ATEX regulations and for dusts of aluminium, magnesium and carbon. DMOB1EX is an ATEX certified dust collector that uses no electricity whatsoever (a solution that minimizes risks in areas with risk of explosion), as it's powered by a 100% pneumatic VENTURI system. In addition, this movable dust collector is in accordance with regulations, equipped with earth pincers with the purpose of reducing the possibility of sparks and triggers for potentially explosive dusts. DMOB1EX is suitable for work with the volumes of dust produced by a dry sanding machine.
DT3M
DT3M is the largest movable unit produced by WORKY for the collection of dry sanding dust. It's perfect for when the going gets tough, such as in the event of sanding on industrial vehicles, trains or buses. This dust collector is a gem among WORKY's products: equipped with a side-channel turbine (3 HP, 2.2 kW), it's easy to control thanks to a digital display, and comes with a dust bag with 26 litres of capacity, a PTFE cartridge filter, and a fully automatic cleaning system. As if that weren't enough, it's extremely compact and quiet, in spite of its power: its longest dimension doesn't exceed 1.2 m. When at work, DT3M is the most silent of movable dust collectors, producing 68 dB of noise, markedly less than most similar devices for industrial use.
All these features make this dust collector a convenient and precious ally for industrial applications whenever the use of a fixed system is not indicated.
